The Daily Nugget- Unchangeable God

Hi All

The one thing we can be sure of in our walk with the Lord is that God never changes so we can fully trust Him to do as He says scripture tells us “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill”?(Numbers 23:19). Our God never becomes more, less, or different than He is.As Christians, knowing God is unchangeable brings comfort and peace as we can stand on His promises knowing that they stand forever.  “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever”.(Isaiah 40:8)

Unchangeable God

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

No matter how sincere and caring our  friends are, they can let us down. No matter how much money we have we can still end up penniless. We can exercise every day and still end up sick. If we have a car it can still break down.Life is full of uncertainties and our circumstances can change in the blink of an eye.

We live in a world where anything goes and looking after number one seems to be the general approach.Sadly for those who don't know God, that's how it will be, going from day to day walking in darkness, that is why we need to “shine the light” of The Lord wherever we go.

We have a God who tells us that He won't change(Malachi 3:6).He doesn't have shifting moods,bad days,"oops" moments,or changes of heart.He is as consistent as the plumb line, as steady as a rock and as unchanging as eternity.He is as He always has been and always will be(Hebrews 13:8). Forever He is enthroned in the highest and forever His Word fixed in the heavens. Cultures may change,churches may change, our circumstances may change…. But God NEVER Will.
