The Daily Nugget- By The Blood
Hi All
For Christians, the blood of Jesus represents the ultimate, once-for-all sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins that Jesus made for us on the cross. It establishes a New Covenant between God and humanity(Hebrews 10:19-20),
where believers are cleansed of guilt(Ephesians 1:7),offered spiritual protection(2Thessalonians 3:3) and given direct access to God through prayer(Ephesians 2:18). When Jesus went to the cross for us it was the ultimate sacrifice of love, which atoned for our sins and offered us a path to salvation and redemption.

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
(Romans 5:9)
You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honour and glorify God with your body.
(1 Corinthians 6:20 Amplified Bible)
The "blood of the lamb" is a central biblical metaphor representing the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ to atone for humanity's sins. It draws deeply from ancient traditions where a spotless lamb was offered to God as a substitute for human guilt.
For followers of Jesus salvation refers to being saved from judgement of sin. God's righteous wrath …..and the consequent eternal separation from our holy God…..is the appropriate consequence of our sin. But God mercifully provided deliverance from that sentence. This salvation…..the free pardoning of our sin and the promise of eternal life came at the cost of The Fathers only Son in our place willingly giving up His life for us.
Freedom is never free, and in God's economy, freedom from sin is always bought with blood. Starting in Genesis and woven throughout scripture,a scarlet thread indicates the blood atonement God requires for forgiveness of sin. This condition for salvation is ultimately fulfilled in the final sacrifice for sin…Jesus died on a cross outside the gates of Jerusalem. Jesus not only spoke of his love for us,"but God demonstrates His own love toward us ,in that while we were still sinners,Christ died for us"(Romans 5:8). Our salvation came at a great cost… God "gave his only begotten son"(John 3:16).That is the Gospel.
