The Daily Nugget- Our Protector

Hi All

In Christian theology, God is viewed as a loving protector and a divine shield who watches over believers, offering spiritual security and comfort in times of trouble(Psalm 3:3 and Psalm 18:2)This protection often 

means providing inner peace,strength to endure hardships,and intervening in things we don't know about.God's protection is so much more than just preventing physical harm or eliminating life's challenges God may not always remove our difficulties,He will give us what we needto overcome them.Scripture tells us God is our Keeper (Psalm 121).He is our refuge(Psalm 91)and in Isaiah 54:17 we are also given the promise that “no weapon formed against us shall succeed”.

Our Protector

The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night

(Exodus 13:21)

Do you ever feel like God is far away from you, or from a situation you’re facing?Whenever we  feel like God is far away from us or the situation we are facing, we should remind ourselves that when the Israelites were in the desert for 40 years, God sent a “cloud of glory” to shelter them. The Jewish rabbis call this cloud the “Ananei HaKavod” and they teach that inside this cloud, God provided for His people and kept them safe. Inside the cloud, God made His people aware of His presence and sustained them.

Today, whatever you’re facing, God wants to remind you that He is with you, too.God wants you to know that He is able to provide for you, to protect you, to sustain you, and to keep you safe,no matter what you’re facing.
