The Daily Nugget- Only One Way

Hi All

Today we are faced with so many religions whose “theology” contradicts our Bible, for example some faiths believe in Jesus as a prophet,but wholeheartedly reject the trinity which is a fundamental belief of the Chrstian faith. Many other religions also believe in work based salvation and also sadly today a “many ways lead to God” theology is common in many religions today and it has even found its way into Christianity, but Jesus dismisses this false theology when He said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me(John 14:6). Our text today also confirms this Praise God ! As Christians We are saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in Christ Alone …He is the only way Amen.

Only One Way

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

(Acts 4:12)

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

(1 Timothy 2:5)

The Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus established a “zero-mile” monument in Rome to measure distances throughout the empire, this eventually became, “All roads lead to Rome.” The same concept is found in modern sat navs or google maps which offer various routes from “city A” to “city B”, in other words different roads leading to the same destination.

Sadly, the idea of “multiple roads, one destination” has made its way into theology where the multi faith belief of “All roads lead to God” has become popular among certain denominations within the body of "Christianity”.

People who promote this idea suggest that all religions have the same ultimate destination. In other words they believe that “there are many ways to get to God.” However, the Bible doesn’t support this idea. The apostle Peter was clear when speaking to the Jewish elders after Pentecost. He stated clearly that the Name (Person) of Jesus is the only means of salvation(Acts 4:12). Paul echoed this position when he wrote that there is only one Mediator between God and man, “the Man Christ Jesus” (1Timothy 2:5).

Unfortunately in the times we are living in,there are a lot of non-biblical views on salvation, but don't be fooled as there is only one road to God and His heaven. That road begins and ends with Jesus.
