Hi All

Most churches today will begin services with worship and praise,

and when we put worship first we are showing God our love, deepest reverence and displaying to Him our total obedience,worshiping God first also shifts our focus from our own needs to His greatness. As believers all we can offer God is our sacrifice of praise,that's why it is important to be in church from the start of the service as it shows Him that we want to give all to Him in worship and to prepare ourselves for receiving all He has to give to us in our service. As we read in scripture God “inhabits the praises of His people(Psalm 22:3 KJV).

Worship First

"You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve”

(Matthew 4:20)

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

(Matthew 6:33)

The exact word “worship” appears in the KJV Bible 108 times, the first time being when Abraham was preparing to sacrifice his son Isaac on mount Moriah(Genesis 22) saying to his men, “Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there; and we will worship and return to you.”(Genesis 22:5).

True Worship is not just about singing praises NO it is a complete surrender and obedience to God's will and genuine worship comes from the heart through a deep love for God,rather than empty outward displays like that of the Pharisees which Jesus addressed(Matthew 23:25-28). All believers should put worshiping God first because it aligns our lives with our Creator, bringing us an inner peace, as we allow Him to guide us in all our decisions which will enable us to bring Him glory.
