The Daily Nugget- Stand For Jesus

In the scriptures Jesus tells us “You will be hated by all because of My name”,(Matthew 10:22 part 1) and we can see this happening all over the world on a daily basis. This is why it is more important than ever for all believers to “Stand for Jesus”,this means to be a bold witness for our faith, to live according to biblical principles, and to spread the gospel even when it is unpopular. This can include actions like sharing our faith, showing love and kindness to others, and standing firm in our beliefs, which are supported by scriptural concepts like the "armor of God" mentioned in Ephesians. The phrase is also the title of a well-known Christian hymn, "Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus," which encourages believers to be courageous and steadfast in their faith.Scripture tells us “but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved”(Matthew 10:22).What a wonderful promise to stand on !

Stand For Jesus

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.

To “Stand for Jesus” is not easy in our world today it takes courage, we need to be bold and confess our faith to others at every opportunity, by

speaking with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to share the message of salvation. God also calls us to love others deeply through kindness, patience, and forgiveness in our daily interactions.

In our passage today the apostle Paul instructs us to be “strong in The Lord and in the strength of His might”, in the natural for believers this is easier said than done,but thankfully we are given the tools to enable us to withstand any spiritual attacks that may come our way. “The Belt of Truth” represents the importance of living with honesty and integrity.”The Breastplate of Righteousness”will protect our hearts and the “Shield of Faith” protects us from the fiery arrows of the enemy. When we add to these “The Sword of The Spirit” and “The Helmet of Salvation”, we are well equipped to “Stand For Jesus”.

When the people of God step out for Him He will always equip us for the fight !
