The Daily Nugget- Have Faith
Hi All
There are certain things we can do to help us grow in our faith, we can talk to The Lord and learn to just be still and allow the Holy Spirit to direct us, also when we read the Bible we should try to do so with an open mind and allow God to speak to us through it. The Lord wants us to totally depend on Him as Jesus says"Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven”.(Matthew 18:3),meaning that we should display the same total dependency on Him that children have for their parents. We need to trust The Lord with all our hearts and that means believing what we cannot physically see as it says in scripture “for we walk by faith, not by sight”(2 Corinthians 5:7).

Have Faith
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
(Hebrews 11:1)
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
(Hebrews 11:6)
If you put your faith in doubts you will be questioning and uncertain.
If you put faith in yourself you will fail time and time again.
If you put your faith in feelings you will be constantly disappointed.
BUT put your faith in Jesus and you will know his victory. The one who puts his faith in the living Lord is the one who overcomes the world and works that victory out in their daily life.
The faith God wants you to have is an expectant faith,that not only acknowledges that he is almighty,but also expects him to act in almighty ways in the circumstances in your life Hebrews 11:6 says”And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him”.It is only by your faith in Jesus the one who has overcome the world,that it can truly be said that you have overcome the world.True faith is believing that The God of scripture is the only true God that exists and that He is true to His word and rewards our faith by showing us forgiveness and making us righteous just as He promised He would.
