The Daily Nugget - God Speaks

Hi All

In the Bible God used many ways to speak to people for example He spoke to Abraham in a vision(Genesis15:1)He spoke to Elijah in a still small voice(1 Kings 19:11-12)and He came to Moses through a burning bush(Exodus 3).God will also speak to us using various methods like through His word or guiding us through the Holy Spirit,but however God chooses to speak to us it will always be in line with scripture,we will never be guided or directed in a way that is contrary to Bible teaching, because as we are told in 2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness”

God Speaks

"Indeed God speaks once, Or twice, yet no one notices it.

(Job 33:14)

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

(John 10:27)

When God speaks to us the one thing we can be sure of is that it may not be in a way we are expecting. He may speak to us through His word which is the ultimate authority (2 Timothy 3:16). God will also speak to us through the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us in every situation (John 14:26). Everyday when we look around we can see God speaking to us through creation as Psalm 19:1-2 tells us “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge”.When God speaks to us it is for our benefit and  it is always with love to encourage us,guide us, strengthen us and to promote spiritual growth within us and ultimately to bring Him glory.
