Worship is a key part of our relationship with God - which we can experience because of Jesus Christ.When we worship God, we actively recognize Him as our Creator, Saviour and King.Worship is how we tell God that we love Him. Worship is our “spiritual service” (Romans 12:1) of gratitude for all God has done for us.When we worship it must be all about God it's not about what we get but about what we give.The Bible tells us “Not to us, O LORD, not to us, But to Your name give glory Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth”(Psalm 115:1).

1 Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.   2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.

We all have days when we feel as if everything is getting on top of us, but as Christians we have been given a powerful weapon to lift our spirits, that weapon is Worship.Worshipping is recognising God's greatness and glory and,in response,expressing our pleasure and praise. It's not about us, how we feel,or the kind of songs we enjoy. It's about the one who is the same yesterday, today and forever( Hebrews 13:8).It's about who He is and what He has done. When we worship God with a joyful heart(Psalm 100:2)it helps to shift our focus away from our earthly worries and anxieties.As we praise God we acknowledge that we trust Him and that He is sovereign overall, giving us peace and hope no matter what we are going through(Romans 15:13). When we truly love God our hearts want to worship Him,acknowledge His greatness and give Him glory in all circumstances(1 Corinthians 10:31).
