In Christianity, "Alpha and Omega" signifies God and Jesus as the beginning and the end. As the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, the phrase represents God's role as the origin and the fulfilment of all things.This title, appearing in the Book of Revelation, is used by both God the Father and Jesus Christ to affirm their unity, divinity, and sovereignty over creation and salvation. The Lord is our only source and we can totally depend on Him to provide all we need Thank You Lord !

The Alpha and The Omega

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

(Revelation 1:8, NASB)

If there is one book of the Bible that has the reputation of being difficult to understand, it may be Revelation. But we should not avoid it, for God promises blessing if we read it aloud, hear it, and take it to heart (Rev. 1:3).Chapter one begins with God revealing His son to show us “things which soon must take place”(Rev 1:1) and in Revelation 1:8 the Lord declares “ I am the Alpha and the Omega (or the first and the last). This is a phrase which The Lord uses on several occasions within the book of Revelation(Revelation 1:8, 21:6; 22:13). If we go back to the prophet Isaiah he states"Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me”(Isaiah 44:6). By saying “I am the first and the last” The Lord is telling us that everything starts and ends with Him, Christ is Lord of heaven, earth, time, eternity, and everything in between. In Him we are certain of our future. As believers we should find time to

“worship Him who made the heavens and the sea” (Rev 14:7) Amen !
