The Daily Nugget
Hi All
When we think of the grace of God what does it bring to mind? For me the most remarkable thing is that the “Grace of God “ is not just a one time thing, but something we experience continually in our lives. We have a continuous flow of unmerited love, mercy and blessings and by His grace we are empowered to carry out whatever we are called to do in the Kingdom for His glory. This is all the more remarkable because as sinners we deserve nothing, but through His love for us and faithfulness to us we have everything we will ever need as scripture tells us “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus”.(Philippians 4:19). Let's embrace the continual gift of grace that God has given us, because when we believe that God is faithful and trust He will provide it leads to spiritual growth within us.
Be Blessed and Encouraged
Continual Grace
Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.
( ROMANS 5:20)
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.
(Ephesians 1:7)
An Artesian well is a well where groundwater flows to the surface naturally, without needing a pump, due to pressure within a confined aquifer.Often, the head of an Artesian well is surrounded by hills containing water tables higher than the wellhead. The resulting water pressure causes the water in the aquifer to flow up and out in a steady stream,as long as the supplying water tables remain full.
The grace of God is, in some ways, like an Artesian well. God’s grace flows continually and requires no “pumping,” no effort, on the part of recipients who need to drink deeply of its soul-sustaining provision. Even when we sin, the flow of God’s grace is uninterrupted to all who seek it. That does not mean grace is never interrupted by discipline. But even God’s discipline is fueled by measures of grace, mercy, and love as the heavenly Father acts with His children’s long-term best interests in mind. Christians are not punished by God, but disciplined, corrected, and trained. And even correction is an aspect of God’s grace. When you quench your body’s thirst with water today, think of the grace that quenches your soul—and thank God for its uninterrupted flow.
‘Twas grace that gave me to the Lamb, who all my sorrows took."
