As believers we are called to have faith Hebrews 11:1 tells us that “faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”In other words this means our  faith comes from a strong belief in the reality of future things and spiritual realities that we can't see and it gives us an assurance and a confidence to live our lives based on God's promises even if we have not yet seen them fulfilled. It is only by our faith in Jesus “who has overcome the world”(John 16:33) that we can truly say we have the victory. If we put faith in ourselves, we will continually fail, and  if we put our faith in feelings we will be constantly disappointed.The only way to know the victory is to put our faith in Jesus our living Lord who is the one who overcomes and gives us victory everyday in our lives.

Unwavering Faith

5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.   6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.   7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,   8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.(James 1:5-8, NASB)

If we believe that God is who He says He is and will do what He has promised, why do so many of us, instead of showing unwavering faith  continually try going our own way only to fail and only then we go to The Lord “hoping” He will hear us and answer our requests but don't always fully believe He will. One reason we are so prone to doubt is that we fail to see God at work in our circumstances. We asked, and nothing seemed to happen,but God sees the past, present and the future and knows exactly when the time is right to answer us. Even though we may not see it, His hand will be on us, opening hearts and minds and  putting things in place in preparation for His will to be done in our lives. One of our biggest issues we have is that we tend to want answers instantly, but that is not always how our God works to quote from a wonderful contemporary  worship song “ Even when I don't see it you're working, Even when I don't feel it  you're working you never stop you never stop working”. Amen Thank You Lord !
