The Daily Nugget- Willing To Be Used
Hi All
No matter how we may think of ourselves God wants to use us. We may think I'm not good enough or why would God use me? I have nothing to offer. The truth of the matter is we all have something to offer in God's eyes all we have to do is be willing, because if God calls us He won't just leave us to get on with it NO He will work with us and equip us to do whatever He calls us to for His glory(Philippians 2:13). As believers “being willing for God" means a wholehearted and joyful surrender to God's will, rather than a forced obligation. This involves recognizing God's sovereignty and trusting that His plans are for our good, even when they are difficult. It requires a humble posture of heart that acknowledges human limitations and a willingness to follow His guidance with our entire being, heart, soul, mind and strength.
Be Blessed and Encouraged
Willing To Be Used
32 David said to Saul, "Let no man's heart fail on account of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine." 33 Then Saul said to David, "You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are but a youth while he has been a warrior from his youth."
(1 Samuel 17:32-33).
One of the main things God wants from us is a willingness to be used, even if we don't feel up to the challenge, He wants us to trust Him to achieve what He has set before us. One of the greatest examples in the bible of willingness can be found in 1 Samuel 17 and the story of David and Goliath, here we have a young shepherd boy who despite being berated by his brothers went out and slayed the giant Goliath. David totally trusted God and knew that because he was called to this task God would equip him . David went on to be a mighty king with a great heart for The Lord.
Just like David, if we are willing God will use us and It's not about having lots of great gifts and abilities it's about being obedient to what God wants from us. If we are obedient to what God wants he will give us what we need to accomplish what he has planned for us. In the bible God very often used weak people to accomplish great things, for example Moses, who had a speech impediment and was a reluctant leader, Gideon, who doubted God's promises and Peter, who denied Jesus three times. We must never think we are not good enough. All God wants from His people is an obedient spirit and He will do the rest.
