The Daily Nugget- The Gift Of Wisdom

We have all heard of Godly wisdom,which is also often referred to as "wisdom from above" or "divine wisdom," and basically means a way of thinking and acting that aligns with God's character and teachings. It involves discerning truth, applying it in practical situations, and reflecting the character of Christ in our actions. Scripture tells us that if we pray and ask for wisdom it shall be given to us “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him”.(James 1:5), we can also gain wisdom by studying the word,by trusting God in everything, and by being obedient to God's will in our lives. Wisdom is the key to humility and discernment,both of which are key characteristics of all believers.
13 How blessed is the man who finds wisdom And the man who gains understanding. 14 For her profit is better than the profit of silver and her gain better than fine gold.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever. (Psalm 111:10)
Godly wisdom is the kind of wisdom that comes from the very heart of God and as we read below there are so many blessings that come with gaining wisdom.A core aspect of godly wisdom is seeking God through prayer, study of scripture, and cultivating a close relationship with Him.
As we grow in wisdom we gain an inner peace and become more able to show compassion and empathy to others even in difficult situations, as we are given the ability to listen to others and to learn from them.Having Godly wisdom will enable to be more fruitful in our actions and words, as we become less judgemental and more forgiving toward others. All of these characteristics are what God wants from all believers,something James confirms when he writes Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behaviour his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.(James 3:13). Wisdom is a great gift from God available for all believers and to receive it we only need to ask”If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him”(James 1:5).
