During the earthly ministry of Jesus He performed many miracles and in  his gospel John concentrates on eight specific miracles to demonstrate Jesus divinity,which culminates in the resurrection. These miracles were chosen by John specifically to move those who read them from being in awe of the miracles,to a strong faith in Jesus as the Son of God who offers eternal life.

The Eight Signs

In the Gospel of John, eight specific miracles are identified as "signs" that reveal Jesus's glory and divine identity, rather than just wonders. These signs illustrate his power over nature, illness, and death, marking him as the Messiah also highlighting the transforming nature of His ministry. As we read below, each one of the eight miracles demonstrates a different aspect of Jesus' overall divinity.

Changing Water Into Wine At Cana (John 2:1–11):- Demonstrates Jesus bringing a new era of grace and joy, superseding the old laws.

Healing The Official's Son In Capernaum (John 4:46–54):- Shows Jesus authority to heal from a distance,leading to the whole household coming to believe.

Healing The Paralyzed Man At Bethesda (John 5:1–15):- Reveals Jesus' authority over long-term illness and his power to restore life.

Feeding The 5,000 (John 6:5–14):- Demonstrates provision and stewardship, identifying Jesus as the true provider for his people.

Walking On Water(John 6:16–21):- Displays his total dominion over nature and his role in guiding his disciples through storms.

Healing The Man Born Blind (John 9:1–7):- Is symbolic showing Jesus as the light of the world who cures both physical and spiritual darkness.

Raising Lazarus From The Dead (John 11:1–45):-Shows his authority over death, proving He is the resurrection and the life.

The Miraculous Catch Of Fish(John 21:1-14):- Occurred after the resurrection and highlights Jesus' authority over nature,the importance  of being obedient to His word and demonstrates His role in restoring and commissioning his followers to be fishers of men(Matthew 4:19). 

These signs show us Jesus truly is The Messiah,The Son Of God, who has divine authority over all creation.
