The Daily Nugget- Our Cornerstone

Since ancient times, builders have used cornerstones in their construction projects. A cornerstone was the principal stone, usually placed at the corner of a large building,to guide the workers in their course.The cornerstone was usually one of the largest, the most solid, and the most carefully constructed of any in the building.Once the cornerstone was set, it became the basis from where every measurement would be aligned to.The Bible describes Jesus as the cornerstone that His church would be built upon(Ephesians 2:19-20).
As the cornerstone of the building of the church, Jesus is our standard of measure and alignment to, He is the one we need to look and align with in our daily lives, He is our “Cornerstone”

19. Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,20. having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.
(Ephesians 2:19-20).
One of the names used for Jesus in the Bible is “Cornerstone” and in the book of Isaiah God spoke to the prophet and said “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone,a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed.he who believes in it will not be disturbed(Isaiah 28:16), this was a reference to Jesus the coming Messiah.
As the cornerstone Jesus is the absolute foundation and primary alignment point for the Christian faith and the church. Just as a building relies on the cornerstone to be the foundation that holds the entire structure together, in other words it is the “Load Bearer”,when we trust Jesus He provides an unshakeable foundation that prevents our faith from collapsing during hard times.
Jesus is the Answer to everything we really need in the depths of our lives. Let's look to Him for our greatest needs, deepest desires, highest hopes, and fullest blessings. Let Jesus be our “Load Bearer”
