The Daily Nugget- Living In His Victory
Hi All
Giving our lives to The Lord is the best decision any of us has ever made, but Jesus told us that in this world we would still have trials but that He has overcome(John 16:33). Whenever we go through difficulties we need to remember that through Jesus we already have the victory
(1 Corinthians 15:57). As Christians living in victory means walking in the authority of Jesus Christ to overcome sin, fear, and life's challenges through faith, obedience, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. It involves daily surrender to God, studying His Word, and finding strength in His victory rather than relying on our own efforts and when we do so we can have peace even during our struggles.
Be Blessed And Encouraged
Living in His Victory
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. 4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
(1 John 4:1-6)
In the book of 1 John the apostle writes of how the enemy has been overcome through Jesus(1John 2:13). In 1 John 3:8 he writes "the devil has sinned from the beginning” and tempts others to do the same, but Jesus came to “destroy the works of the devil”. Later in the same book John writes “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one”( 1John 5:19).
Satan may be a prince,a ruler, and the god of this world, but his power is limited, and his abilities can never match God’s omnipotence. Through Christ, we have overcome the devil,we are of God, and we belong to Him who is greater.Let’s live like overcomers, by being Unafraid, Unintimidated and Victorious.
God would not put us through trials and tribulations, if He did not also give us the resources needed to stand against the enemy. The One in us-Jesus Christ-is greater than he who dominates the world Thank You Lord !
