The Daily Nugget- Jesus Is Our Refuge

In this dark demonic world we live in today, we hear of people who feel insecure,isolated,anxious or fearful.Some are even scared to go out, so they hide away indoors where they feel safe. As Christians we may live in the world but we are not of it and unlike nonbelievers we have a protector to turn to who will keep us safe and uplift us and aHis name is Jesus Christ and we can proclaim just as the psalmist did "I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust." (Psalm 91:2). We can proclaim this because Jesus provides us with protection and safety, particularly from sin and death. He is a source of strength and comfort, offering a place of refuge when facing challenges or hardship. Ultimately Jesus is the fulfillment of God's promises to be a rock and fortress, a shelter, and a dwelling place.

Jesus is Our Refuge
Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come; You have given commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress. (Psalm 71:3)
One of the beliefs that followers of Jesus hold onto is the fact that He is our security, our place of safety and when we read scripture we get confirmation for example, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1). Jesus who is the representation of the love and grace of God is the one who us as believers can rely upon for comfort,protection and strength during our testing times.
Jesus is considered a "city of refuge," a place of safety where believers can find shelter from the dangers of the world and the evils that threaten them. He provides the strength to overcome challenges and endure difficult times.Jesus is our firm foundation who gives us support and stability in all situations.We can live safe and with a sense of peace in the knowledge that He is with us and will “never leave us nor forsake us”(Hebrews 13:5).
Whenever we feel a sense of anxiety or we are fearful lets run to Jesus and seek refuge in Him
