The Daily Nugget- All In God's Time

Hi All

We have a wonderful Father who is always with us,but sometimes He makes us wait and this is when we need to remember that everything is in God's time scale not our own, which for us can be difficult as our human nature tends to want instant results, but Peter reminds us in scripture that God's timescale is completely different to ours “But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day”(2 Peter 3:8) Why does He make us wait and What does God's timing actually mean? God's “timing" refers to the belief that there is a divine plan for events and that things happen according to a higher purpose, even if they don't align with our preferred timeline. It suggests that God knows the best  time for things to happen, and trusting His timing involves patience, faith, and a belief in His ultimate good.

Be Blessed And Encouraged

All In God’s Time

1 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven--   2 A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.   3 A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up.   4 A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance.   5 A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.   6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away.   7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak.   8 A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace.   (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

The concept of "God’s perfect timing" and "a time for everything" is rooted in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, which was written by King Solomon and it suggests that life operates in seasons, and God, as the creator of time, orchestrates events according to a divine schedule rather than a human one. For us as  believers this means we need to place our trust fully in God and accept that we go through seasons in life and believe that His timing is always perfect even when it doesn’t line up with our plans.

This passage teaches us that there is a “time for everything”(verse 1) and is made up of 14 pairs of contrasting human experiences, for example birth/death, weeping/laughing, and war/peace, teaching us that life is made up of changing, seasons all of which are ordained by God and no matter what “season” we are in whether it be “joy” or “sorrow” , we can be encouraged that God is in control and that every season serves a purpose.
