The Daily Nugget- Jesus At The Centre
Hi All
We as believers are all on our own personal journey in our faith, which is wonderful when we gather together and share what The Lord is doing in each of our lives. As our walk progresses we come to realise more and more that without The Lord we are nothing and can do nothing, which Jesus stated when He said "Apart from me you can do nothing”(John 15:5), this confirms to us that we need Jesus in everything because without Him we are spiritually disconnected, unable to produce good works, and ultimately face a meaninglessness or spiritual death. We need to totally depend on Jesus. for guidance and strength to live a meaningful life in the kingdom and ultimately for our salvation as Jesus said Jesus "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me”.(John 14:6). “Dear Lord Jesus be the centre of all we do and may we bring you glory” Amen !
Be Blessed and Encouraged
Jesus At The Centre
16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.(Col1:16-17)
Declaring "Jesus is Lord over all" is a foundational Christian confession. It signifies that Jesus Christ holds supreme, sovereign authority over all of creation, human lives, and spiritual realms, demanding total devotion and trust. Centrering our lives around Jesus involves us striving to live in line with His teachings, seeking His will and allowing His love to shape our lives. We can keep Jesus at the forefront of all we do by praying, reading scripture and by continually involving Him in all aspects of our lives. At times when things are going well we can start to think “ I got this” but the truth is that without Jesus we achieve nothing that is why we should always turn to Him in every situation( Philippians 4:6-7).
In Jesus, everything we need to know about God is preached and revealed to us because in Christ is the “fullness of the image of God” (Col 1:15). He is our hope and assurance of eternal life, He is the only one who can guarantee our salvation and all it brings. As we sing in the wonderful worship song “ In Christ Alone My Hope is Found” Thank You Lord!
