The Daily Nugget- God Is Good

One of the most common sayings among Christians is “God is good” and Psalm 129: 29 tells us “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting”,meaning we should thank God for every blessing we receive each day. God blesses us in so many ways in our daily lives,He feeds us,clothes us,puts people around us to love and support us and He keeps us safe, our God truly is “good”,but the best blessing our good God gives is the opportunity to be in a relationship with Him. Thanks to his gift of Jesus,who died for our sins and thereby bridged the gap between holy God and unholy us, we can actually know God,not just about Him.As we go about our daily lives let's always be grateful for our daily blessings and especially grateful for the biggest blessing of all that of having a personal relationship with God the Father!

Our Good God
The phrase "God is good" is a common declaration of faith, deeply rooted in the Bible. Various verses across both the Old and New Testaments tell of God's goodness, emphasizing that He is the source of all that is good and that His goodness extends to all people. Psalm 34:8 tells us "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good". God is the source of all good things in our lives “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"(James 1:17). In the bible we can read of many instances of God's goodness in action, for example His provision for the Israelites in the wilderness, His protection of His people from their enemies and His ultimate act of love for us when He sent Jesus to the cross so that we all may be redeemed.When the rich young ruler referred to Jesus as “good teacher” Jesus response was to point out that the only God is good “and Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone”.(Mk10:17,18,).
When we understand God's goodness it encourages us as believers to live in accordance with His will, seeking to reflect His character in our own lives and actions. We Have a God who is good “ALL THE TIME”and always has our best interests at heart “
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose”(Romans 8:28) Amen !
