"For the glory of God" means to live a life where God is the ultimate reason for all actions, words, and thoughts,to reflect His infinite power and love and is based on biblical principles such as 1 Corinthians 10:31 which says “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God”, which encourages us as believers to glorify God in all we do,in doing so we can better reflect God's character and show His Characteristics to others. As believers, to “behold the glory of The Lord”( 2 Corinthians 3:18) means our characters are being transformed by the Holy Spirit from our old self into being people who are all in for God !

In Christian faith, giving God the glory means honoring, praising, and magnifying God as the supreme source of all goodness, love,and life, rather than taking credit for ourselves. It is a core spiritual practice rooted in Scripture, reflecting an attitude of total gratitude and devotion.
Today we read the testimony of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) who is one of the greatest and most prolific music composers in all of history. Bach never had an easy life,he was orphaned before he was ten, he was imprisoned for almost a month for showing “insubordination toward his boss”, his first wife died unexpectedly leaving him to bring up seven children. However through all this Bach depended on God for help and strength and glorified Him through his music.At the bottom of everyone of his manuscripts you will find the inscription S.D.G,which comes from the latin phrase “Soli Die Gloria” or “To The Glory Of God Alone”.When Bach composed his music it wasn't primarily for himself or whoever commissioned him, NO! It was to reflect the beauty and love of God to others.Bach realised that it was only through his faith and trust in God that he got through the hardships and that only through God that He was given a gift to bless others.Just like Bach we have all been given gifts from God which we should also use to bless others and bring glory to God Amen.
