The Daily Nugget- Faithful One

Hi All

All believers have the security of knowing that we serve a faithful God who we can totally rely on and trust, even when we let Him down He remains faithful(2 Timothy 2:13). God's faithfulness does not depend on what we do,NO God is faithful because of His unchanging character so even when we let Him down, if we go to Him and repent,He will still keep His promise to love, protect and forgive us(1John 1:9). As the wonderful old Hymn tells us “Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,There is no shadow of turning with Thee;Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not, As Thou hast been Thou forever will be”.

Faithful One

1 Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer.   2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy.   4 Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.

(Psalm 61:1-4).

These verses are just a great example of total faith and trust in God by David, and is an example that we should all follow.You see he probably wrote these words when in exile because his son Absalom had driven him off his throne.Can you imagine how he must have felt knowing that his own son was plotting against him, but rather than crumble he cried out to God knowing that God was His rock and the only  one that would give him refuge.

Just like David when we go through trials we can turn to God and trust Him to bring us through any situation because He IS our rock, He IS our Anchor and He IS our Strength. What a mighty God and wonderful Father we have Amen!
