The Daily Nugget- Be The Difference

HI All

As a Christians we are not of this world(John 15:19)and are called to stand out and make a difference(Romans 12:2).Making a difference to others means living out our faith through loving and serving without expecting anything in return. In our world today where people are all about “self”,doing so may be greeted by suspicion or even outright hostility,but we  should not allow this to  discourage us. We are told in scripture “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone"(Galatians 6:9-10).We are also told in scripture that when we do good and put others before ourselves it is pleasing to God(Hebrews 13:16).

Be The Difference

Praise the LORD! How blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who greatly delights in His commandments.   

(Psalm 112:1)

The above verse teaches us that God wants us to fear Him and delight in His commandments and as Christians we are called to live faithfully in accordance to His commands and to walk in His will(Proverbs 3:5-6). God also wants to bless other people,through what we say to them and how we interact with them.We who have been blessed by God's love can also be a blessing by sharing His love with others.

When we are obedient and align our desires with what God wants, He can then use us to transform the lives of others by showing them the same unselfish and unconditional love that Jesus has for us. May we as believers always live in a way that honours God,shows our friends and family that we belong to The Lord and encourages them that they too can experience the difference Jesus makes when you ask Him into your life.
