The Daily Nugget
Hi All
As the year draws to a close and we reflect on how it has been for us and those around us,one thing we can be sure of is that the year will have been different for us all. However, whether your year has been good, bad or mixed, one thing is for certain,The Lord has been in our midst guiding us, strengthening us as He promised in scripture through Moses “The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed”
(Deuteronomy 31:8).Our text today brings a message of hope for us all for the coming year and beyond that He will sustain us. As the wonderful old hymn tells us “ On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand”
Be Blessed and Encouraged
Our Hope For The Future
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.
(Psalm 28:7)
Today’s verse brings us great encouragement to take with us into “The New Year”, there is so much to take from our verse today:-
First:- We realise that the Lord is our strength and shield. No matter what unfolds from day to day or from month to month, He will give us sufficient strength, and His presence will cover us as a shield.
Second:- Our hearts can fully trust in Him. We can relax, rest, and lean on Him, knowing He is fully able to do all He has promised.
Third :- As we recognize who He is and trust Him, we are helped. There’s no sense of panic related to an uncertain future. The past, the present, and the future are His. He helps us in everything every time.
Fourth :- Our hearts can therefore rejoice and carry a song of praise.
As we see more and more Christians being persecuted for their faith we can stand strong in the knowledge that no matter what trials and challenges may come our way we need fear nothing because
God STILL Reigns
The Church is Still Precious
Our Mission is STILL Clear
Our Focus is STILL Heaven
Our Victory is STILL Certain
