As Believers we are all called to be a “witness” for Christ,but what is a true “Christian witness”? A true witness is someone who is faithful and obedient to The Lord's plans for their life.As a witness we need to have a deep and passionate love for Jesus and always be ready to show His love to others, we need to be ready to testify of God's goodness in our lives and all He has done for us. In the world today we very often meet with the "I'm alright attitude”but we should never be discouraged because the word of The Lord never returns void(Isaiah 55:11).We may never know how many people have been impacted by what we say but we don't need to as we are only called to share the good news of the gospel and leave the rest to God. “but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence”(1 Peter 3:15).

Witness For The Lord

They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" (Acts 7:59)

What is a witness ? A witness is a person who simply tells others what they have seen or heard,they share with others about their first hand experience. That is what we are also called to do.As our Lord's witnesses,we are simply to tell others about our first hand experience with Jesus Christ. We are not recruiters trying to get people to join our club. We are not salesmen trying to persuade folks to buy our product. We are simply to be Jesus' witnesses.

Many people at the time of Acts marvelled that God had entrusted His holy gospel to such common men and women,to individuals who had no formal training in theology or elocution. But they were true witnesses.These early believers were witnesses in the truest sense of the word and like Stephen many lost their lives because of their uncompromising witness to Jesus Christ. We are just ordinary people just like the early believers so let's ask The Lord to help us be effective witnesses“Lord help me to live today so that others see You in my life and hear You from my lips .In Jesus Name Amen”

Christ died for us so the least we can do is live for Him !
