The title “King of Kings” is one believers give to The Lord Jesus,it is a victorious name that signifies Jesus's sovereignty over all earthly kings and rulers and is predominately found in the book of revelation Chapter 19:6 which describes the return of Jesus “On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". In
1 Timothy 5:16 Jesus is described as “He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of Lords” The title “King of Kings” goes back to the thirteenth-century B.C. Assyrian Empire. When city-states, ruled by kings, were conquered, the conquering king would become known as the “King of [all the other] Kings.” For Christians The Lord is our “ King above all other Kings and one day all people will submit to His authority.

Government was never meant to reflect a Christian's total value system…. it never could in a society where so many different leaders and sources of authority exist together. However we can become discouraged when we see leaders implementing policies that are contrary to God's values.What we must remember however is that something else is going on behind the scenes, because nothing can happen without God allowing it,as Proverbs 8:15-16 tells us "By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice. "By me princes rule, and nobles, All judges of the earth",and Proverbs 21:1 confirms God's total control "The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes". Just as a farmer guides water down an irrigation ditch, all events organised and decisions made by powerful people in the world can't happen without God allowing it through His sovereignty. He is not blind to what is going on. Neither is He surprised by anything that occurs.Knowing that God is in control and His will can't be overruled,we can pray for our leaders with wisdom and hope…even when we don't agree with their policies. In the times we live we can all wonder if anyone is in control, but be assured Our God Is ! And His will shall be done on earth as well as in Heaven Amen !
