Hi All

The term "New Jerusalem" refers to a symbolic heavenly city described in the Bible “And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband”. (Revelation 21:2).”The New Jerusalem” is depicted as a glorious, massive city descending from heaven, representing God's dwelling place with humanity and the ultimate destination for redeemed souls. The city's descriptions include being built of pure gold and jewels, having 12 gates with the names of Israel's tribes, and 12 foundations with the names of the apostles and it describes the church in its final, perfected state, also referred to as the "Bride of Christ". For Christians, it is the ultimate heavenly destination after earthly life, where we will live with “The Lord” without any sorrow, pain or suffering “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4).

Be Blessed and Encouraged

New Jerusalem

29 "But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. 31 And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

(Matthew 24:29-31)

Our world today is one where people live in fear of things such as pandemics, wars, earthquakes, and world economic collapse. As bad as these things are, there is far worse to come for there is a seven year period in the future known as “The Tribulation”. However we need fear not because at the end of “The Tribulation” The Lord Jesus Christ will descend from heaven, deal with evil, and establish a thousand-year kingdom, which we call the Millennium. Our Lord will reign from “New Jerusalem”, unify the world, transform nations, and give us a preview of eternity. He will also fulfill all the promises made in the Old Testament to the nation of Israel. As believers we should not be fearful of the future,we should look forward with excitement and anticipation knowing that things are going to get so much better. As the 17th century puritan Thomas Watson put it "If God be our God, He will give us peace in trouble. When there is a storm without, He will make peace within. The world can create trouble in peace, but God can create peace in trouble." (Inspired by 1 Corinthians 14:33).
