Hi All

In the Gospel of John  Jesus declares I am on seven separate occasions,He identifies himself as the Bread of Life(John 6:35), Light of the World(John 8:12), Door of the Sheep(John 10:7), Good Shepherd(John 10:11), Resurrection and the Life(John 11:25), Way, the Truth, and the Life(John 14:6), and the True Vine(John 15:1). These statements reveal to us his divine nature, his saving relationship with humanity, and his role in salvation. The phrase "I am" also echoes God's self-revelation to Moses in the Old Testament, emphasizing Jesus's claim to be God.By using "I am," Jesus was identifying himself with God the Father, who revealed himself to Moses with the phrase "I AM" (Exodus 3:14). This was a claim that led some of his listeners to accuse him of blasphemy. For believers, these declarations are central to understanding the nature of Jesus and the Christian faith. Our Lord is still among us today He is not the Great I Was NO He is the Great I Am

Be Blessed and Encouraged

Who Christ Really Is !

Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."

(John 8:58)

God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

(Exodus 3:14)

Consider how often we use the phrase, “I am,” in conversation. It is interesting to note that God used the phrase “I AM” in answering a question from Moses who wanted to know how to identify God to the Hebrew slaves. God’s answer was, “I AM WHO I AM.” Moses was to tell them, “I AM has sent me to you” (Exodus 3:14).I AM is full of theological significance when applied to God. And Jesus used that significance to identify Himself to the Jews as being one with God: “Before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58). So holy were these words to the Jews that they tried unsuccessfully to stone Him (John 8:59).Jesus went on to expand on the meaning of I AM by using the phrase seven times to describe aspects of who He is.When we ponder and meditate on each of these statements one by one, they reveal to us so much more about the person of Christ, who He  really is and what He stands for. Jesus through these statements wanted us to know exactly who He is and shows Himself to be our protector, saviour, our victory over death and our access to the Father and eternal life. Thank You Lord !
