As Christians we are called to “walk in the light of The Lord”.Walking in God's light" means living in alignment with His truth and will, which is characterized by fellowship with God and other believers, honesty about one's sins, and actions that demonstrate goodness, righteousness, and truth. It involves confessing sins to receive cleansing from Jesus Christ and striving to be transformed into His image through daily obedience and trust in the Holy Spirit. There is no better way to “walk in the light” than by using God's word to guide us everyday. “Keep the light of God’s Word shining on the path of your life by meditating on it “day and night” (Psalm 1:2).

The Light of The Word

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.   106 I have sworn and I will confirm it, That I will keep Your righteous ordinances.   107 I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, O LORD, according to Your word.   108 O accept the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, And teach me Your ordinances.   109 My life is continually in my hand, Yet I do not forget Your law.   110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, Yet I have not gone astray from Your precepts.   111 I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart.   112 I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes Forever, even to the end.

“Follow Me” was a phrase Jesus used frequently when leading His disciples,when He first called them (Matthew 4:19) and when He prepared them to prioritize their choices as His followers (Matthew 16:24). Like sheep who follow their shepherd, Jesus said His disciples would follow Him (John 10:27). The danger in not following Jesus, who is the Light of the World, is wandering off the path of righteousness. And what is the light we are to follow? It is the truth of Jesus Christ as found in His Word: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).God loves to bless his children ! He loves to bless us with guidance and protection as well as with food,clothing and shelter. One way God blesses us is by using His word to light the path for us to walk. We walk in spiritual darkness when we don't know Jesus as our Saviour. However when we choose to follow God,He doesn't leave us in the dark.Instead speaking through His word and by the power of His spirit within us,He who is the Light of the World guides us and protects us, and along the way Helps us be more like Jesus all He asks is that we follow His guidance set out in the word,
