The Daily Nugget
Hi All
One of our core beliefs as Christians is that we are assured of an eternal life with The Lord, but if we are honest we can sometimes ask why would God save me I am not good enough, but the truth is none of us are we are all sinners saved by the Grace of God.God's grace is a free gift to all believers because of our faith in Jesus Christ and believing Him when He said I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me”(John 14:6). Everyday we have so many reasons to thank God but none more so than the gift of Eternal Life.
Be Blessed And Encouraged.
Saved By Grace Alone
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
(Ephesians 2:8-10)
In the world today there are so many religions that teach that by “doing good” or being a “good person” and being kind to others can be a passport to heaven Whilst those things are admirable the bible clearly teaches that we are saved only by the grace of God through our faith in Jesus Christ and nothing we can say or do will help us get to heaven.Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ. Our best efforts can never be good enough to earn salvation, but God declares us righteous for Christ’s sake. We receive that grace through faith alone. God even gives us the faith that trusts him. We are not saved by obeying a list of do’s and don’ts, but by grace through faith in Christ. Our salvation is in God’s hands. That’s Good News (The Gospel). We cannot earn our way into heaven,it comes purely by God's grace. We need look no further than the thief on the cross. He could do nothing, but he did acknowledge the existence of God, he confessed that he had done something wrong and admitted that he was being justly punished, that is why when he asked Jesus to “remember me in your Kingdom”, Jesus answered him by saying Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 29:49-43).
