In the book of Isaiah we can read the prophecy of the birth of Our Lord Jesus and one of the names used to describe Him is Prince of Peace(Isaiah 9:6).The “Peace of Jesus” for believers refers to a spiritual calm and inner assurance that surpasses worldly circumstances, as described in the Bible(Phillipians 4:7). It is not a peace based on external conditions but is given to believers through their relationship with God, allowing them to remain untroubled and unafraid in the face of life's difficulties. This peace is a gift from Jesus, rooted in his sacrifice and victory, and is received by trusting in Him and His Word and is something which only a true follower of Christ can understand and experience.

The "Peace of Jesus

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.  

(John 14:27)

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

(John 16:33)

For believers Jesus’ peace is an inner calm that is distinct from emotional happiness or the absence of trouble. It is an assurance that allows us to remain steady during chaotic times in our lives. This peace comes to us through an unwavering belief that God  is in control and knowing that Jesus has overcome the world. Unlike the temporary peace  the world can offer, Jesus’peace is everlasting and does not depend on our circumstances. When we believe in and trust the promises of God and don't rely on our own strength(Proverbs 3:5-6)we can cast our anxieties on Jesus knowing that He will care for us(1 Peter 5:7).As believers we can be sure that The Lord will give us the strength courage and inner peace to meet any challenge that comes our way.
