The Daily Nugget
Hi All,
Jesus used a wide variety of ordinary people, most notably his twelve apostles, who included fishermen like Peter and Andrew, and a tax collector named Matthew(Luke 6:12-16). God delights in using humble, everyday people, not those who seem qualified by worldly standards and today we look at how as “ordinary” people we can make such a difference, to others even though we don't realise it,by just displaying our faith.God sees our hearts without us having to be “out there” for all to see, it's very often the ordinary unassuming people who have the greatest impact on others so never be discouraged because you will be having more of an impact for God than you could ever imagine and your rewards will be waiting in eternity Amen !
Be Blessed and Encouraged
Ordinary People
“But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong”
(1 Corinthians 1:27)
During our walk with God we will all go through times of feeling “inadequate” or “not good”enough to be used by God, but scripture shows that God uses “ordinary people” for extraordinary tasks, often choosing those considered weak or foolish to bring shame to the strong or wise. Key examples include Moses, who was a hesitant shepherd(Exodus 3-4), and David, a young shepherd boy chosen to be King(1 Samuel 16:1-13).In Acts 16 we read about Lydia who was a businesswoman who sold purple dyes who God used to to establish the first European church by using her as the first convert in Philippi. Today God will still use “ordinary people” like us to achieve extraordinary things
through His divine power working within us and in His eyes we are all good enough if willing. God doesn't always call those equipped for the task required but He will always equip those He calls to do His will(Hebrews 13:21).
