Hi All
“King of Kings” and "Lord of Lords" are biblical titles for Jesus Christ, most notably found in the Book of Revelation “And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS and LORD of LORDS."(Revelation 19:16), and they confirm that He has supreme, unmatched and ultimate authority over all rulers, governments and powers both on earth and in heaven. These titles emphasize that Jesus Christ is sovereign and has divine power, which will be fully displayed upon His second coming when He will have the victory over all that come against Him and He will establish His eternal reign. Hallelujah ! Praise God !

“King of Kings” and “Lord of Lords”
For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.
(Deuteronomy 10:17)
"Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.
(Isaiah 44:6, NASB)
The title “king of kings” goes back to the thirteenth-century B.C. Assyrian Empire. When city-states, ruled by kings, were conquered, the conquering king would become known as the “king of [all the other] kings.” It became a phrase which was associated with overall superiority,in other words King of Kings was the most powerful king (Daniel 2:37).The phrase became common throughout Mesopotamian and Middle Eastern cultures to describe the best of the best. In the new testament Timothy also refers to Jesus being “King of Kings” and “Lord of Lords”(1 Timothy 6:13-15). When we as believers today refer to God as “King of “Kings and “Lord of Lords” it means that we are acknowledging that God is still the ruler overall. He is our Sovereign God who is the King of the Present and the future and in whom victory is assured Amen !
