The Daily Nugget
Hi All
The phrase "God will do what He says" assures all believers of God's faithfulness and reliability, asserting that His words are true and His promises are always fulfilled. There are several passages of scripture which confirm this including Numbers 23:19 which states "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? and Isaiah 55:11 “So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it”. Both these passages give believers reassurance that God doesn't lie and always accomplishes His purposes and that includes His purposes and plans for our lives Praise God !
Be Blessed and Encouraged
He Will Do As He Says
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
(1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
Read 1st Thessalonians
The passage above is a great encouragement for the times when we become discouraged, tempted or weak and feel as if we are taking one step forward and two steps back. When we feel like that we can study the above verses as they assure us God is the One who will sanctify us and cause us to mature into the image of Christ. Yes, it takes work on our part (which we can read about in the book of 1stThessalonians), but God is the source of our strength and of our progress. One day at the second coming of Our Lord Jesus,we will be completely whole, perfect, and pleasing to God in every way,but until then we are all works in progress. To help us on our journey we have the indwelling of the “Holy Spirit” to guide and direct us just as Jeus said "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things”. We are the clay and God is the potter who everyday will work on us and mould us into something pleasing to Him.
Thank You Lord!
