As Christians one of our fundamental beliefs is that “God is Faithful” which means God is consistently true to His Word, His nature, and His promises, which means that He gives us comfort and strength. The amazing thing is that even when we let Him down or appear faithless He keeps His promises as He remains true to Himself(2 Timothy 2:13). God is always unchangeable and totally reliable and when we as believers  know and understand this it gives us great hope and assurance in every circumstance. “God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord”(1 Corinthians 1:9)

God IS Faithful

22 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;   23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

(Lamentations 3:22-23)

The above verses which were written by Jeremiah the prophet when He was going through a time of despair even feeling targeted by God(Read Lamentations Chapter 3)and is a passage that brings hope in times of hardship.This passage is  to remind us that God's love, mercy, and faithfulness are constant and renewed daily, providing a source of hope and renewal even in the midst of suffering. This is a powerful message but what does it mean for us on a daily basis ? Because God is faithful we can be confident when we pray, we are able to overcome temptation,we can have courage when we feel afraid and we can give Him praise and worship Him. The point Jeremiah was trying to get us to understand is that even when things are not going well and we are in despair, knowing that we have a faithful God and trusting He is true to His word will get us through.
