The Daily Nugget
Hi All
During our Christian walk we all have needs, when we do the bible tells us to turn to God who will meet our needs if we ask Him(Philippians 4:19)but sometimes even after asking God our need is not met. There are several reasons that God may not always meet our needs, including a potential focus on a greater, often spiritual, need over a physical one, the possibility that a "need" is actually a desire that conflicts with God's plan, or because God uses the struggle to build our character and faith. Sometimes, God provides the strength to endure rather than removing the hardship, and in other cases, a person's own actions or the actions of others play a role in how our requests are answered God may withhold a need if it hasn't been asked for in faith or if the prayer is self-serving. But no matter what answer to our request we receive whether yes, no or wait Our God is Able(2 Corinthians 9:8)
Be Blessed and Encouraged
Unanswered Prayer ?
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith without any doubt, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
(James 1:5-8)
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:19)
We have a loving omnipotent father who gets joy from helping His children and meeting our needs but sometimes He chooses to leave our needs unmet and this can be for several reasons for example we don’t ask,we are all guilty of trying to solve things in our own strength rather than bring our troubles before The Lord. Our God cares deeply about everything that affects us as Matthew 10:30 says “He even knows the number of hairs on our heads”,so we should always go to Him first. We can also ask God then doubt whether He can or will answer us, but we should approach Him with confidence and believe His promises. Sometimes we can pray and pray but not see any change because we may be focusing on a superficial need not the underlying cause of the need. God wants to meet our needs if they are in line with His desires for us. Let's ask Him to help us align our requests with His will for us and then trust Him for the correct outcome “Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it”(Psalm 37:5).
