The Daily Nugget-Stay Plugged In

“Plugged into the vine" is a Christian concept from John 15:5, where Jesus says, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing," meaning believers must stay connected to Christ through faith, prayer, and obedience to receive spiritual life and produce good works, just as branches need the vine for nourishment. It signifies a deep, dependent relationship with Jesus and a total reliance on Him for everything.The Lord is our strength and source of spiritual power and He is the only way to Father God(John 14:6).

 Stay Plugged In

I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.  

( John 15:5)

In today's world we could not live without our home appliances like fridges,microwaves,air fryers etc but in order for them to work they need to be “plugged in”to a power source. As followers of Christ we too are dependent on a power source and need to be constantly “plugged in”. 

Our power source is Jesus Christ who used the example of the vine and the branches to illustrate this principle(John 15:1-8).Branches cannot be a source of fruit if they are not connected to a vine.The vine provides the nutrition that the branch must have for growth and development.The Bible says that without Christ we can do nothing. As believers “We need Jesus like we need oxygen,like we need water. We need Him just like the branch needs the vine”

Jesus Christ is alive, and we are living branches connected to Him. The “sap” of the Holy Spirit flows from His life into ours, and as we abide with Him in constant fellowship,we will bear fruit and start to show the qualities and attitudes of Jesus Christ in our lives Amen !
