The Daily Nugget- Powerful Words

There have been many books written over the centuries which have encouraged and educated people on a whole range of topics from historical teaching through to current events, from lifestyle choices to how to become a better person in our world today. However there is one book that stands way ahead of anything else we could read and has the power to change lives….that book is The Bible. The reason the bible is so powerful is because every word in it came  from the mouth of God. That’s why we call it the Word of God as scripture confirms  “16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The bible is all we ever need, it is our road map for life and should always be our first point of reference in every situation.However most importantly if we are seeking  Jesus The Bible is where He will be found.

Powerful Words

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.   (Hebrews 4:12)

As Christians where would we be without the word of God ? In Genesis we learn of how it all began and in Revelation we learn about future events and every book in between serves a purpose. The Psalms teach us how to worship, Proverbs teach us wisdom and guide us how to live, we then have Job which shows us God will be with us in the midst of trials and Ephesians teaches us to be grateful and always be thankful to God for all our blessings.Ruth teaches us about love and Song of Solomon guides us in our relationships. We are also taught in 1 John not to love the world and in Esther that God is in control even when we feel like He is not around.When we read the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John we meet the greatest Person in history, and we learn He is still living and loving us despite our mistakes and imperfections. Jonah reminds us we shouldn’t run away from Him, and James tells us to draw near to Him. 

To summarize The Bible is the complete Word of God and this  is why the Bible is such a powerful book.This powerful substance is the life of God and has the supernatural ability to teach and equip the Believer.We must never underestimate just how powerful the word of God is after all it was what Jesus used against the enemy:-When Jesus was asked by the Devil to turn stones into bread He replied using scripture "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.”(Matthew 4:4) (Taken from Deuteronomy 8:3) Amen !
