The Daily Nugget- Our Heavenly Home

Hi All

Of the many blessings we have as Christians there is one that is sometimes overlooked,that is the blessing of our eternal home.Too often as Christians we tend to look horizontally at all the trouble and strife in the world. Scripture tells us that we should be looking upwards towards our eternal home:- 1Therefore if you have been raised with Christ to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above the heavenly things, not on things that are on the earth which have only temporal value(Colossians 3:1-2 Amplified).We are so blessed to have the assurance of a heavenly home,where pain and suffering will be replaced with joy and everlasting peace Thank You Lord.

Our Heavenly Home

In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

(John 14:2)

As Christians we are taught that while we live on Earth, our ultimate citizenship is in heaven(Phillipians 3:20), which allows us to look forward to that home,while working through our daily earthly trials and tests(2Corinthians4:17).In Christian theology, the heavenly home is the eternal, promised dwelling place with God, prepared by Jesus Christ for believers,after their earthly lives. It is characterized as a place of perfect peace, joy, and rest, free from pain and sorrow, often described as "many rooms" or "mansions" in the Father's House.

Heaven is unlike earth which is temporary,it is described as an eternal, permanent residence where believers will be living in the presence of The Lord(Revelation 21:1-4).What a great comfort to know that we will one day be living a life of joy, peace and happiness in the company of our Saviour.
