The Daily Nugget- Follow The Light

Hi All

When we give our life to Christ it means that we accept that He is our saviour and it involves following His teachings set out for us in The Bible and embracing them. In other words we are to “ Follow His Light” and reflect His teachings on love, compassion,forgiveness and righteousness in our everyday lives, by turning from darkness (sin and selfishness) and walk in the light of truth and  grace.  As believers when we follow Christ our lives are enhanced with so much as we receive blessings, contentment and the unexplainable peace in trying times just as Jesus promised “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful”.(John 14:27,) we are also assured of a spiritual inheritance and a place with God in heaven which has been prepared for  us. Thank You Father !

2 In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.   3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.(John 14:2-3).

Follow The Light

4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.   5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

(John 1:4-5)

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."

(John 8:12)

In the Gospel of John, Jesus declares, "I am the light of the world(8:12) This statement highlights Jesus's role as a source of spiritual illumination, guiding people away from the darkness of sin and towards the path of truth and salvation.By following Jesus and embracing his teachings, believers find the "light of life," which is a state of spiritual wholeness, peace, and eternal life with God. This light illuminates the path to a fulfilling and meaningful existence, both in this life and the life to come. When we follow the light of Jesus it leads us to the deep, abiding joy that Jesus experienced and modeled, rooted in his relationship with God and his mission of salvation. It's a joy that transcends circumstances, offering contentment and peace even in hardship. This joy is available to believers through a relationship with Jesus and obedience to God's word. As we read in scripture

“These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. Disciples'(John 15:11)

As Christians The Joy of The Lord is our source of strength Amen!
