As Believers we are called to serve God,which means living in a way that reflects love and obedience to Him, often expressed through serving others and fulfilling His will. It involves recognizing His Lordship, submitting to His authority, and using our gifts and abilities to honor Him. Ultimately, serving God is about aligning our life with His purposes and seeking to glorify Him in all that we do.Scripture tells us that no matter what we do, we should give it our all for God and He will reward us with an inheritance according to those works “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men,knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance.It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.(Colossians 3:23-24). When we serve it be out of love and compassion not with any ulterior motive because God sees the heart. ”For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints''.(Hebrews 6:10).

There is no greater blessing as a Christian than that which comes from serving and helping others as Jesus said “it is more blessed to give than to receive”(Acts 20:35).What could be better than knowing that your actions are pleasing The Lord a d that one day when we stand before Him we will hear the words well done good and faithful servant”!(Matthew 25:23)

Be Of Service

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."(Mark 10:45)

10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.   11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever.

(1 Peter 4:10-11)

First, to serve God and follow God means to recognize His Lordship over our lives. We have to acknowledge the fact that we live under His sovereignty and providence. He is our Creator, our Redeemer and our Sustainer. He is our master, and we are his servants. It is therefore imperative that we submit to his authority.

We can serve God in many ways like praying for others,by giving our time to people, getting involved with our church by filling needs within the church.We can also go out into our communities and show God's love to people we encounter, by meeting them where they are in a non judgemental loving and respectful way, by doing so we are shining God’s light.”In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven”.

As individuals we have all been given different talents and abilities by God and one of the best ways to serve God is to use our God given talents in the Kingdom for His glory.

“To Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever”. Amen.
