The word “Awe” in the dictionary is described as a complex feeling that is triggered when feeling something immense and it combines wonder and amazement with respect and reverence.Being filled with awe in the Christian faith is a deep, reverent response to the greatness, holiness, and active presence of God. The Bible is full of examples of people who felt awe when seeing God's power, such as Moses at the burning bush (Exodus 3:5), the early church witnessing miracles (Acts 2:43), or the
crowds watching Jesus heal the sick (Luke 5:26). As believers we are so privileged to be able to serve such an “Awesome God”

Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the Apostles.
(Acts 2:43)
"For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.”
(Deuteronomy 10:17)
People can argue and debate faith, and they can talk about possible contradictions in the Bible, but a life transformed by Jesus is a powerful mystery that cannot be denied. It’s a work of the Holy Spirit that can fill you with awe.
Our “Awesome God” is our Creator and the sole source of all the power in the universe. How does the sun pour out its light and heat? What’s the source of the eagle’s power of flight or the lion’s toughness? It all comes from His throne!
God will also give us the energy and strength we need to perform whatever He has planned for us today. He gives strength and power to His people(Isaiah 40:31). Whatever He calls us to do we will be empowered for that task. If He called us to be Olympic athletes He would empower us to train so we may excel. Likewise if manual labour is what we are required to do for God, He will give us strength, even if we are ill in bed if God has a task for us He will give us every ounce of strength we need. No matter what issues life throws up at us we have the ultimate power source that we can rely on to energise and enable us “O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God”(Psalm 68:35).
All of us as believers can look back to times when we have asked God for strength and He supplied. As Psalm 47:2 tells us “For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth”.
