"Our great God" is a phrase used in Christianity to describe God's majesty, power, and importance, as seen in biblical passages like Psalm 77:13 which states where Asaph the psalmist declares “Your way, O God, is holy; What god is great like our God? As Believers we acknowledge our God as great because of His infinite power, creativity, goodness, love, compassion, and holiness, which are often seen in the creation of the universe, acts of compassion and healing, and the offer of salvation,through the sacrifice of Jesus, we truly have a remarkable God and we can all agree with the traditional Hymn which states “ My God How Great Thou Art” Hallelujah !

Our Great God

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

(Psalm 118:29)

When we hear the statement “God is Good” what springs into our minds? God gives us so much everyday,blessing us with family,friends, clothing,a place to live and the list is endless. The best blessing however is the opportunity to be in a relationship with Him. Thanks to his gift of Jesus,who died for our sins and bridged the gap between Holy God and unholy us, we can actually know God,not just about Him. While we must always be grateful for our everyday blessings from God,our greatest thanks should be for the blessing of being able to have a personal relationship with God. May we be grateful for the many tangible blessings God gives us,but may we appreciate even more the blessing of knowing God Himself, as scripture tells us "Blessed are the people of whom this is true; blessed are the people whose God is the Lord."(Psalm 144:15). This verse expresses joy and fortune for the people experiencing the prosperity described in the preceding verses, emphasizing that their true blessing comes from their relationship with the Lord. Amen!
