The Daily Nugget
Hi All
There is no more powerful witness about the goodness of our God than our personal testimonies. In the Bible, "testimonies" generally refer to God's commandments, instructions, or the historical accounts of His actions and their impact on people's lives. Knowing God's testimonies involves understanding and following His commands, as well as recognizing and learning from His works in the past. Psalm 119 emphasizes the importance of meditating on and obeying God's testimonies(Psalm 119:99), highlighting their role in wisdom, guidance, and spiritual growth. We have all come across people who will dispute scripture with us, but no one can argue with our own personal accounts of what God has done for us and God very often uses our testimonies to make a way of revealing Himself to people, it just may be that the testimony we share is something a person needs to hear, we don't know BUT God does Amen !.
Be Blessed and Encouraged
Our Testimonies
And He did not let him, but He *said to him, "Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you."
(Mark 5:19)
In the Bible we are encouraged to share personal testimonies of God's work in our lives and Jesus clearly states that we should share “the great things The Lord has done”(Mark 5:19),Matthew 24:14 says that the gospel will be preached as a testimony to all nations, and Revelation 12:11 speaks of overcoming by the "word of their testimony". The following is confirmation of the truth of these verses.
Becket Cook was a gay man who was a production designer in Hollywood, and his career was very successful, he had money, friends and all the trimmings of success Yet he was overwhelmed with a sense of emptiness. One day he was walking along and he came to a coffee shop, where he saw open Bibles on the tables. He went inside and asked the people reading the bibles if they were Christians?”
The fellow patrons began sharing the Gospel with him, and within days Cook gave his life to Christ and he now has this wonderful testimony to share Thank You Lord !
“My hope is that people will realize how much more amazing it is to deny yourself and follow Christ rather than to just give in to sin now just to satisfy some immediate need…. With God, I feel this unconditional love…. Like He’ll never leave or forsake me. I’m happy to leave that dead man (my old me) behind because God is worth it.”
